LOS JAILBREAKERS (Make II)
"The Lost Acoustic Sessions - London 2.010"

Well, here's a blast of acoustic Rockabilly, first album of the Shakin Pyramids being listened to quite often those days, here are 10 shots of 2 minutes, a few of them even less, good old, straight up rock n roll.

Like all the working bands Los Jailbreakers had a share of musicians playing at one point or another with Matt. The first three years between 2007 and 2010 Mr. Switch (Liverpool) was on the duty with the double bass and backing vocals and when Hailstorming Howie (Perth, Australia) parted us to join Las Pistolas took over the drums Owen If (Wales), world touring drummer with Stereo MC's.

The split happened when Matt started a third year of a Music Foundation Degree and it was a hell of studying to do, and Mr. Switch left for the California sun of L.A.

But after September once school was over Matt felt "the itch" and contacted good mate Paul Milne (The Magnetic Mind) and "Buzz Allen", both from Aberdeen, Scotland. Los Jailbreakers Mk II had been born.

We only played 5 or 6 memorable gigs in the famed Oxford St. 100 Club, Ryan's of Stoke Newington and Gaz's Mayall Rockin' Blues among others and no recorded artefacts of the band were preserved...until last week that I found a rehearsal session in acoustic and unplugged rummaging through and old hard drive of my London years.

The quality is as much as a BOSS BR recorder could produce, overall the guitar sounds lower than the rest, but since it's much of a rhythm thing it does the job pretty well, I played an old and battered Washburn acoustic from the late 70s in the recording.

Music, that music that we love so much it is like the ambar that preserves fossilised memories in our minds and I still remember the snowy and cold London evening when I was entering Paul´s flat in Stoke Newington and I happened to have on me a tiny device that I just got me second hand, a BOSS BR Recorder and it was a great chance to try it. After a generous couple of green tea servings we just went on and did our thing, rehearsing in acoustic for our upcoming gig at Gaz´s Rockin´ Blues in Soho.

So here it is, as it was recorded. Some tracks of one of our acoustic rehearsals and one live cut recorded at famed Soho Club, Gaz's Rockin' Blues. I don't worry much about the quality of the recording, for me it has a place in my heart and musical career and since it has been preserved, let the World hear it, I can't stop fate :)

As well, it's bloody free!!
